LA - Sorrento Eyes Sewer System Extension
The Sorrento Town Council has decided to hire a Baton Rouge engineering firm to head a sewer expansion project aimed at serving an area adjacent to Interstate 10 in hopes of attracting new businesses. TX - 4B Board Approves More Funding for Airport New Braunfels Industrial Development Corporation (or 4B) board members recommended spending more than another quarter of a million dollars Thursday night for a water and sewer expansion project at the New Braunfels Municipal Airport. LA - Briefly: Grants To Improve Greenwood Water System The town of Greenwood has received $235,000 in grants to improve its water system. OH - Village To Seek Bids To Replace Two Waterlines Bluffton Village Council moved Monday to advertise for bids for the Cherry and Mound streets waterline replacement project and the Grove, Jackson and Lawn streets waterline replacement project. GA - Franklin County Commissioners Approve Loan/Grant Package for Waterline Project Franklin County commissioners have approved accepting a loan/grant package to pay for a waterline extension outside Carnesville. VA - Mt. Jackson Looks At New Sidewalks, Water Lines Once the town receives the grant and appropriates the money, officials would need to develop the plans and then advertise for bids to construct the project. IN - City Sewer Plant To Boost Capacity The Fort Wayne Board of Public Works on Wednesday approved two engineering contracts to design a new pump station and process improvements in the plant to handle the extra sewage. HI - Honolulu Gets Fed. Approval to Build $200M Sewage Tunnel The city has received federal approval to build an estimated $200 million, 3.2-mile tunnel to move sewage from a Kaneohe treatment plant to a Kailua wastewater facility. GA - Twiggs, Butler Receive State Loans for Water and Sewer Improvements Twiggs County and the city of Butler have received financing through the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority for water and sewer system improvements, according to a GEFA news release. GA - Meeting for Water Main Project On Thursday On Thursday, May 17, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., the Fulton County Department of Water Resources will host a public meeting to discuss the upcoming Alpharetta Water Transmission Main capital improvement project. MN - Tab for Duluth's Water System Fixes: $50 Million The plan the Duluth Public Utilities Commission approved on Tuesday would invest more than $50 million in water main replacements, pump station upgrades and water plant improvements between now and the end of 2025. |
